We just wrapped up an amazing trip with BVI Yacht Charters and everything was perfect. Our skipper, Captain Amal, was the best and we felt so lucky to have "Mal" guiding our adventures. He really went above and beyond helping us find the best snorkeling sites, restaurants, helping us catch and grill fresh fish, and even finding us a pod of wild dolphins to swim with! Our boat was the Barefoot Oasis and exceeded our expectations. The check in and out process was seamless and office staff were so helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Great experience with BVI yacht charters! The boat was clean, and everything worked as it should. The service by Kelly and her team was top notch and made the whole trip easy. The Lagoon 40 was very comfortable and moved along pretty well, though by observation I suspect some of the FP models might have offered slightly better sailing performance.
Most importantly Capt. Dennis Tyson was excellent. He provided great local insight and exploration while still allowing those who wanted to sail feel they had the freedom to play with the boat. I would 100% recommend Capt. Tyson to anyone looking to sail the BVI’s.

02-07-26 Sailed the Pirelli with Captain Chris. Best. Vacation. Ever. Salt island the first night. Coco maya is not to be missed. Sailed to Anaganda like real pirates with the wind close hauled.Drove a mini mike around the island and saw the “real” beach. We were the only ones there! Came back wind to our backs and picked up a mooring ball at Cooper island. Great yellow fin snapper and nice petite fillet. Sailed around Tortola to Jost Van Dyke and ….you guessed it …. The soggy dollar. Great people watching! Last night on Norman island and the seafood jambalaya. Thank you so much to the great team at BVI charters that made it happen.

The boat was is such disrepair that we honestly were wondering if it was going to make it through our trip. Things were breaking and or broken everyday. The anchor windless froze the very first time we tried to use it so that limited use to bays with morning balls only for the rest of the trip. Portable steering ram leaking hydraulic fluid the entire trip. Generator broke down..twice. first time a mechanic came out to us on a chase boat to replace a rested out wiring connection. Second time started leaking diesel fuel so bad it made everyone on the boat sick and wouldn't you know, there was no absorbing mats on board. We used about 4 rolls of our paper towels and about 4 man hours and triple bagged to try to control the smell and not cause an environmental impact, not to mention the safety issue with open diesel fuel in the engine bay that we still needed to use. Honestly there are so many other issues that it is impossible to list them all. We noted two full pages of broken items before we left the dock for the charter company but what can we do about at that point. Here we are in another country with 7 members of our family ready to go after two years of planning, the charter company says that broken items do not effect boat options and they already have our money. We tried to enjoy ourselves inspire of it all but trust when we say your team better be ready and knowledgeable in boat repair and operations or your going to need to be rescued.

BVI yacht charters is amazing they provide the best sailing experience ever with perfectly kept up clean boats and wonderful team members. Kelly, Kimmy, Kip, Andrew and Zevy are all amazing and each of them will do what you need to get you on your way! The attention to detail in making sure our charter was perfect from an easy payment process to making sure our boat was ready! We have chartered with other companies in the BVI and there is no chance we would go back to them after seeing the next level of service with BVI yacht charters. I am a ASA sailing instructor and their care of boats and detailed explanations of how your boat works is perfectly in line with what we teach back home and provide a safe experience. My wife and friends kept saying how nice the boat was taken care of and the crazy part is it was an older boat. If you are going to the BVI this is who I would charter from! We have had several friends with the same experience and we can’t wait to charter with them again.
