We recently returned from a week long vacation to BVI and Moorings Yacht Charter, and it was our best vacation to date! Captain Paul sailed our boat and was amazing. He took us to his favorite beaches/ islands and a few times we were the only ones there. He went above and beyond taking us to shore in the dinghy boat and picking us up when we requested it. He was so easy to be around and even joined us for dinner one night and some card games. The islands were beautiful and relaxing. We want to go back! Definitely book your next vacation with moorings and ask for Paul.

We just finished an incredible week on a catamaran. There were eight of us, and The Moorings is definitely the best option. The facilities were spectacular and very comfortable. I must give a special mention to our captain, Laura Bello, who was always focused on the well-being of the guests and ensuring everything on the boat ran smoothly. She guided us to the best spots and brought so much joy to our group. Without a doubt, I will be requesting Laura Bello as our captain for my next trip!

We absolutely loved our sailing holiday in the British Virgin Islands with Moorings. It was a bucket list holiday and everything I could have hoped for.
The 45' catamaran, Why Knot, was excellent with a freezer, three fridges, water maker, air conditioning, masses of indoor and outdoor seating and many other features.
The Yacht Club was brilliant for when we came off the boat and waited for our flight home.
My only complaint is that the maintenance was very poor:
The boat was clean and well prepared but the rear starboard head was blocked and utterly revolting. An engineer came out to fix it and left saying it was fixed, but it continued to fill up with poo constantly and smelled revolting. This could have easily spoiled the holiday but fortunately we were only using three cabins so we could treat this as a spare. But goodness it was stinky.
The masthead light and several navigation lights were broken as was the (non-essential) underwater hull light.
I wouldn't bother with pre-provisioning again as the Moorings mini mart was for last minute things and the two supermarkets are a couple of minutes away, well stocked, with shuttles to get you there and back.
Having said all that, if I can afford it I would definitely go back to the Moorings and the BVI again as I loved the holiday.

I would give Mooring Charters a higher score than 5-star if possible. Excellent service from start to finish. They had every detail covered. Our boat was great and our Captain Wayne and First Mate/Chef Kathryn were amazing! Ask for them if you are looking for a 48 ft Catamaran. They are a wonderful couple! Truly was a wonderful experience and a great way to see BVI!

We just completed a 7 day charter in the BVI’s on a 45’ catamaran. There were 4 of us but the boat could have easily accommodated 6. It was an amazing trip! Our skipper, Chester, was the best! He was so knowledgeable about all the great places to go on the islands. He really made this one of the best vacations we’ve ever had! We wouldn’t hesitate to do this trip again and we would definitely request Chester as our skipper!
